Terrorists and their sympathizers regularly attack civilian, government, and foreign targets …”
“Karachi suffered from intermittent suicide bombings over the past several years, and an American child was kidnapped there last year as well,” 24/7 notes

The Twilight series was originally rejected by 14 different publishers.

The Twilight series was originally rejected by 14 different publishers.

Twilight was rejected by fourteen publishers before finally getting published.  In other news, fourteen out of fifteen publishing houses have quality standards on works they accept.  Though of course, in this case at least, having no literary standards seems to have paid off for lucky number fifteen.

8. Pakistani Facts - Imran Khan 2012

Imran Khan was ranked 3 among top 9 world leaders 2012.

Imran Khan has made the jump from cricketer to activist-politician look seamless. Now the head of Pakistan's Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) party, Khan has become the face of the anti-drone movement in his home country. Though data on drone-related deaths is scarce, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism estimates drones — key tools of US military strategy in the region — have caused between 474 to 884 civilian deaths since 2004, including the killings of 176 children.
Khan refuses to stand for the continued use of drones in Pakistan, leading a high-profile march by over 1,000 people in October. He continues to speak out against the violence, and his anti-drone push is a central part of his campaign for president.

The two most famous actors who portrayed the “Marlboro Man” in the cigarette ads died of lung cancer.
...
The 'Marlboro Man' was a character created by Marlboro to promote their cigarettes. Commonly featured from 1954 to 1999 he was depicted as a rugged cowboy. The character was created to promote the introduction of filtered cigarettes, yet sustained a large fan base. However, it turns out that two of the actors who portrayed 'Marlboro Man' died of lung cancer. Wayne McClaren and David McClean were both hired as actors, and forced to smoke up to five packs of cigarettes a day for shoots. It's no surprise after only ten years of resigning as the character, both had died. McClean's family sued Philip Morris, the company owning Marlboro, after his death claiming they held responsibility.
